The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine inaugurates the Al-Nour Factory for the production of solar panels

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine inaugurated the Al-Nour Solar Panel Production Factory, in a step aimed at supporting renewable energy and localizing modern industries in Iraq.

The engineering projects department supervised the implementation of the project on behalf of Al-Kafeel Energy Solutions Company at the holy shrine.

Following the inauguration ceremony, the attendees of the event took a tour of the factory's corridors to observe the stages of solar panel manufacturing and the approved inspection mechanisms to ensure product quality, while listening to a detailed explanation of the workflow and the modern technologies used in the factory.

The head of the Projects Department, Engineer Diaa Majid Al-Saigh, said: "The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine inaugurated today the Al-Noor Factory for the production of solar panels, launching with a clear vision to rely on alternative energy as a necessity and need for future generations."

He added that "this project is not just a new production line, but a step toward self-reliance in the field of renewable energy, and a real contribution to building a sustainable economy, based on providing high-quality energy that lights homes and powers factories at the lowest cost and with the least impact on the environment."

For his part, the factory manager, Engineer Ali Noor Razak, said: "The factory is the first of its kind in Iraq, equipped with machines and equipment from reputable global companies, using the latest technological advancements represented by industrial automation and industrial robots to ensure product quality."

He added that "the product goes through several inspection stages within the production line, aiming to ensure the quality of the solar panel," noting that "the factory's production capacity is 100 megawatts annually in the first phase, and it will be continuously updated to increase capacity."

The attendees praised the level of achievement reached in the project, affirming that the adoption of the latest industrial mechanisms and equipment reflects an advanced vision embraced by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in building a national industry capable of keeping pace with global developments in the field of renewable energy.

The Al-Nour Solar Panel Production Plant is considered one of the strategic projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, aimed at localizing renewable energy technologies and contributing to meeting the needs of the local market.
