The al-Abbas's (p) fighting Squad participates in the fifth operations of the Will of Victory.

The operations of the will of victory - the fifth stage - were launched at dawn on Monday 16th Muharram 1441 AH corresponding to September 16, 2019 with the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad (Brigade / 26 Popular Mobilization).

The Squad's supervisor, Sheikh Maytham al-Zaidi, said: "The duty of the Squad was within the sector of the operations of the middle Euphrates, specifically in the area of ​​Al-Nukhaib towards the northwest of Lake Razzaza."

He continued: "The Squad's forces have completed at the beginning of the mission its objectives set by the command of operations at a record speed," indicating: "The operation was to track and search in the desert, and that we go deep into the desert in search of remnants of ISIS, which information indicates that it are located 50km from the Squad's divisions. We have traveled more than 17 km and found no sign of them."

He added: "The ninth armored division of the Iraqi army, the security effort from the Directorate of Security in Karbala have also participated with us," stressing: "The Squad is participating in the elite regiment and the armored brigade in addition to the brigade of Umm al-Baneen."
